This song comes from Alma 9-14 when Alma preaches among the people of Ammonihah. Initially, Alma was rejected and kicked out of the city. But an angel appeared to him and told him to go back. Following this instruction, Alma found Amulek who was also prepared to meet Alma by the same angel. He welcomed Alma into his home and Alma taught and blessed Amulek's family.
After staying a while Amulek takes Alma to the streets of Ammonihah as a second witness. As Alma is teaching the people he is challenged by Zeezrom (a lawyer) and it seems as if Alma and Amulek are on trial. I wanted my songs to be universally acceptable among Christians, so I intentionally left out descriptions of priesthood and authority and church structure. Incidentally, the Nephite monetary system was discussed in these chapters and I left that out as well.
During their discourse, Alma and Amulek teach about the nature of God, the fall of Adam, and various other things. Alma explains death and hell and calls the people to repent. He points to the history of the Nephites and the children of Israel as proof that God has blessed this people throughout generations. And he points to Christ as the great judge, the mediator with the Father, and the redeemer of all mankind.
Since this is still Alma, I kept the same musical style of rap, inspired by NF. (see Turn Your Heart for music description)
